नींद के बाद

एक दुनिया है

पुर सुकूँ, महफूज़, ख़ूबसूरत

जो बसाई है मैंने नींद के पार

मेरे सिरहाने से एक मोड़ जाता है

वहीं से सीधे बढ़ जाना

जब लगे कि छूट चुका ग़म पीछे

और मुमकिन लगे दौड़ना, उड़ना और इश्क़

उलझन

बेतरतीब, उलझे हुए धागे के जैसे होती हैं यादें

कभी कभी इसका एक सिरा आता है हाथ में

उम्मीद जगती है इसे सुलझा लेने की मगर

जैसे जैसे उस सिरे से आगे बढ़ते जाते हैं

उलझ जाती है उँगलियाँ भी धागे की उलझनों में

उलझते ही जाते हैं यादों के धागे और उन धागों में हम
……..

..और जब तुम मेरे कहने पे

कि तुम कितनी ख़ूबसूरत हो

मेरा ऐतबार नहीं करती तो मैं निराश होता हूँ

मैं सोचता हूँ

कि क्या तुम भी वो पैमाने मानती हो हुस्न के

जो कि छिछले और व्यर्थ हैं?
